Anyone who knows me knows I have a major love affair with jumpsuits. Honestly, what is easier or more convenient than the all-in-one pants-and-shirt situation that is a jumpsuit? They are versatile, they are comfortable, and they remain a staple of my wardrobe season after season.
Recently, the color red and I have been having a moment, so I took advantage of the cooler weather this weekend to bust out these tomato red vintage coveralls -- a recent Depop purchase. For a day of hitting up flea markets and food carts, I chose to dress them down with some slip-on vans, but I am also excited to try them dressed up with a block heel.
After my cringe-worthy high school ska phase I never thought I'd be rocking the checkerboard vans again, but recently I've decided they deserve a second chance. I am currently loving them in unexpected combinations: mixed with other prints or paired with workwear pieces like blazers and slacks.
And for the cherry on top, I added statement earrings -- gold to match the jumpsuit's hardware -- and an orange-red lip. The cut-out cherry inlay on these oversize hoops added just the right amount of kitsch to finish off this look.
