Om nom nom! Today's muse is the ravenous, chocolate chip cookie-loving furry blue muppet himself. As I stated earlier, this coat has garnered numerous comparisons to Cookie Monster every time I've left the house in it and provided much of the inspiration for this entire Sesame Street series. Something about this shade of cerulean faux fur seems so inextricably tied to Cookie Monster that I've had people yell, "Me want cookie!" from across busy intersections and ask with genuine concern if I skinned the little guy for this coat. Disclaimer: no muppets were harmed in the making of this post.
Wanting something a little different, I leaned into '60s mod styling for this look, starting with the makeup where I employed a clean face accented by blue eyeliner and a bubblegum pink lip. For the hair, I went with a modified bouffant, teased at the crown, lightly curled and held to the side with white bobby pins.
These stunning white boots from Topshop were a recent impulse buy that have quickly become a staple of my wardrobe. The leather is buttery and comfortable and the heel has such an interesting shape. These were the perfect accent to tie the look together. And the brown-and-white polka dot dress was, of course, meant as a nod to Cookie Monster's favorite snack!
